Berita Minggu article on Kpop

Okay so.... there's this article regarding k-pop on Berita Minggu today.

Let me tell you my story. I've been into k-pop for 3 years already or more I don't know. So basically this news in the Berita Minggu is nothing but to bring down the k-pop fans in Malaysia. Or to encourage parents to prevent their children to be fanatic to Korean Idols or in other words their oppars and unnirs.

Honestly I didn't read the articles, because I hate reading newspaper. I watch news on TV, though. And read them online. But today, there are a lot of people raging on twitter regarding this. I wanted to buy the newspaper but I was late so there's no more left.

So, this entry is whatever I read online. And my sources are reliable. I have seen the picture of the article too.

1. Kpop fans are prone to commit suicide because of Korean Idols

Okay firstly, where do you get this information, again ? As far as I know, NONE of Kpop fans ever commit suicide. Yes the artists do, but I must say, most of them are actors not singers/idols. And we, fangirls are not stupid! I have never thought of doing this. Yes we do use words like "dying" "dead, dead" but I have never heard such things in kpop fandom.

2. Wasting money

Honestly, yes kpop stuffs are expensive because of the shipping of these items like albums, fangoods. However, we didn't buy all of them, not me. Fans bought their albums in Korea because they are a lot cheaper compared to buying them in Malaysia. And buying them in Korea will help the artists to win awards. It's actually a good thing. I have done a survey on this. Because of taxes etc, the prices of albums are more expensive in local stores. Most fans that I know save their money in order to buy these goods. They start working and stuff. Isn't that a good thing for Malaysians ? They are saving and they used the saving to make themselves happy, why do you care though ? It's better that they spend money on kpop rather than drugs etc (sobs I am angry)

3. Pergaulan bebas

I don't even know what to say. I mean this is a lie seriously. All we do is online. Furthermore, most fans are girls. And honestly kpop fans are the only people I could trust on the internet. All we fangirls do are tweeting or twitter, reblogging our idols on tumblr and stalking their korean fansites, their me2day, their twitter, their official sites. We are the most antisocial people in the world. How is this possible. And just so you know, korean idols are not social either. I mean, even if they have girlfriends, they won't announce it. Even if they public knows about their relationships they don't go snogging each other on public.

Example of Korean Idols socializing (for fun :D)
91 liners - hmm this is the group formed because of the idols are all born on 1991, which I think is really cool
ABline - Heechul from Super Junior formed this for those that have AB blood type and they regularly have meetings etc

And you know, when they have fun, it's not like they told everyone what they did etc. They keep everything clean.

4. Over exposing clothes

Yes, the girls might have wear short skirts etc. But, you can't blame kpop for this! This issue has been in Malaysia for a long time ago. Even Malaysian artists are wearing over exposing clothes. Go and talk to them first. And the guys might expose their abs etc but you see when Super Junior was having their concert on the 19th of March this year, none of them reveal their abs. Why ? BECAUSE THEY RESPECT MALAYSIA! And what Malaysia did ? Wrote 2 pages of articles bashing them.

5. Liking them for their looks, variety shows ?

First, I don't like them for their looks!!! And be jealous, their variety shows are really good. They are original. And Malaysians! DO NOT COPY! Unoriginal things are never good. I am saying this because I see nowadays a lot of artists are trying to copy them. Back to the variety shows, they are good. I mean, you try to watch shows from 2006, 2005 they are already great that time. And some of the shows last till today. If the show didn't get good response they will stop it immediately.

-------------

The songs, music videos, lyrics of these idols are inspected really well. If the idols wear inappropriately, they will be banned from performing. If the dance routines are not suitable for younger generations, they idols will be asked to make a new music videos. If the lyrics are not appropriate, they will be banned.

K-pop is not something that bad. If you make your research CAREFULLY, you would know that we make a lot of charities to help people, yes in the name of the idols but we seriously make them. And the funds to Japan, a lot of fandom actually try their best to help the Japanese victims.

A lot of fans are currently studying hard, to get a lot of money so that they can meet their idols in Korea. They are using them as inspirations.

I don't get why people are only showing the disadvantages when there are actually a lot of advantages.

The Malaysian entertainment industry will not go anywhere the media have this kind of attitude. lol

We, K-pop fans need the author to apologize for writing such articles.

and oh http://www.bharian.com.my/bharian/articles/KuasaK-Pop/Article the picture is
